PK75411: ADMG0020E ERROR MESSAGE SEEN WHEN SETTING UP A SECURITY DOMAIN WITH LDAP USER REGISTRY INFORMATION IN THE ADMIN CONSOLE

Error description

When user is setting up a Security domain in the Admin Console,
and navigating to:
"Security domains > <security_domain_name> > Standalone LDAP
registry",
And proceeding to the "Advanced Lightweight Directory Access
Protocol (LDAP) user registry settings" and clicking OK/Apply,
before clicking on the LDAP panel, this error message can be
seen:
errormessage: "Validation failed: ADMG0020E: The required
attribute EndPoint.host is not found."

This prevents the LDAP filters to be configured.

When the LDAP user registry is first configured at the security
domain level, there was no template entry created for the host
name in the security.xml file, resulting in the ADMG0020E
vaildation failure error message.

Problem conclusion

An entry for the endpoint host is created in the security.xml
when the user clicks OK/Apply on the "Advanced Lightweight
Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) user reigstry settings" panel.

APAR PK75411 is currently targeted for inclusion in
Service Level (Fix Pack)  7.0.0.3 of WebSphere
Application Server  for z/OS.
