PK75887: CENTRALIZED INSTALLATION MANAGER DESCRIPTOR FOR NETWORK DEPLOYMENT 7.0 FIXPACK 1 MISSING

Error description

After applying WebSphere Applicatin Server Network Deployment
V7.0 FixPack 1 to the Deployment Manager node, a centralized
installation manager (CIM) descriptor named
InstallPackageND70FP1.xml should be added to the
<DMGR_INSTALL_DIR>/properties/cim directory.

However, this file is missing from the fix pack.

This descriptor file is neccessary for CIM to support the
remote installation of FixPack 1 on other nodes that are
part of the deployment manager cell.

Local fix

This interim fix will add the descriptor file to the
<DMGR_INSTALL_DIR>/properties/cim directory.

After applying WebSphere Application Server Version 7.0 Fix
Pack 1 to the deployment manager host, a descriptor file with
the name InstallPackageND70FP1.xml should
be added to the WebSphere Application Server installation
under the directory "properties/cim".

However, the file is missing from the Fix Pack.

Problem conclusion

This fix is available via interim fix PK75887.  Future
Application Server Version 7.0 Fix Packs (starting with 7.0.0.3
will include newer version of the descriptor file to allow the
centralized installation manager to support the remote
installation of the respective Fix Pack.
