Error description

For performance and reliability reasons, Web Services
Notification (WSN) provider applications include a static XML
catalog of necessary WSDL, XSD, and DTD files. Without the
static XML catalog it would be necessary to access these files
remotely. The problem addressed is that even though the static
XML catalog was present when the application was started there
were still cases of the .xsd and .dtd files being accessed
remotely.

An XML catalog is used to store wsdl, schema and dtd files on
the local file system so that a remote access is not required.

For performance and reliability reasons, WS-Notification
provider applications include a static XML catalog.

In some circumstances, the cataloged files are accessed
remotely even though the files are available on the local file
system.

Problem conclusion

Certain flows through the web service engine were not
using the XML catalog resolver to access files.  These flows
are now corrected.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 7.0.0.3.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
