Error description

You can receive either a CWSIS1503E or CWSIS1595E error when
attempting to use the sibDDLGenerator command with a version
of "11g" for Oracle, "9.1" for DB2 or "11.0" for Informix.

These databases can be successfully configured using DDL
generated by the sibDDLGenerator. However, a lower version
number must be specified on the command line of the tool.

Local fix

For Oracle 11g use version string "10g"
For DB2 9.1 use version string "8.1"
For Informix 11.0 use version string "10.0"

The sibDDLGenerator command has command line options for
system, platform and version.
The tool accepts only certain combinations of parameters.
If you specify a combination that is not accepted,
you will receive one of the following error messages:

CWSIS1503E: Database: <database>, version: <version>, platform:
<platform>, is not supported

CWSIS1595E: An invalid combination of parameters has been
specified, Database: <database>, version: <version>, platform:
<platform>. Refer to the documentation for the correct
parameters for your database.

Problem conclusion

This APAR updates the sibDDLGenerator command to accept
version "11g" for Oracle, version "9.1" for DB2, and version
"11.0" for Informix.

The "sibDDLGenerator command" section of the information
center is also updated to include the additional -version
options and the following notes:

1. The DDL generated for DB2 for UNIX or Windows using
-version parameter values 8.1, and 9.1 is identical. The DDL
generated for DB2 for z/OS using -version parameter values
7.1, 8.1, and 9.1 is identical. The -version parameter value
9.1 can only be used in WebSphere Application Server fix pack
6.1.0.23 and higher, or 7.0.0.3 and higher.
3. The DDL generated for Oracle using -version parameter
values 9i, 10g, and 11g is identical. The -version parameter
value 11g can only be used in WebSphere Application Server fix
pack 6.1.0.23 and higher, or 7.0.0.3 and higher.
4. The DDL generated for Informix using -version parameter
values 9.4, 10.0, and 11.0 is identical. The -version
parameter value 11.0 can only be used in WebSphere Application
Server fix pack 6.1.0.23 and higher, or 7.0.0.3 and higher.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 6.1.0.23 and fix pack 7.0.0.3.
