Error description

The customer used wsadmin scripting to create two inter-bus
links for a single foreign bus.

The configuration problem was corrected by deleting the
two links and creating a single new one. When the
messaging engine was started, the following message
was logged to the JVM logs of the application server:

CWSIP0002E: An internal messaging error occurred in
com.ibm.ws.sib.processor.impl.MessageProcessor,
1:1472:1.365.1.3, java.lang.NullPointerException
at com.ibm.ws.sib.processor.impl.BaseDestinationHandler.

The administrative console prevents two links being created
for a single foreign bus, whereas the AdminTask commands used
in wsadmin scripting do not.

The createSIBLink and createSIBMQLink AdminTask commands are
only available in WebSphere Application Server Version 6.1 and
later. However, this problem also affects buses hosted on
WebSphere Application Server Version 6.0 application servers,
if they are administered using a Version 6.1 deployment manager.

After correcting this misconfiguration by deleting the
multiple links, and creating a single link, the following error
might be logged:

CWSIP0002E: An internal messaging error occurred in
com.ibm.ws.sib.processor.impl.MessageProcessor,
1:1472:1.365.1.3, java.lang.NullPointerException
at com.ibm.ws.sib.processor.impl.BaseDestinationHandler.

Problem conclusion

The fix for this APAR updates the createSIBLink and
createSIBMQLink AdminTask commands to prevent creation of
multiple links for a single foreign bus.

The following error is reported if an attempt is made to
use the createSIBLink command to create multiple inter-bus
links for a single foreign bus:
CWSJA2408E: The foreign bus "{0}" is already in use by another
SIBLink.

If an attempt is made to use the createSIBMQLink command to
create multiple WebSphere MQ links for a single
foreign bus, the following error is reported:

CWSJA2409E: The foreign bus "{0}" is already in use by another
MQLink.

The fix for this APAR also updates the messaging engine to
allow multiple links in an invalid configuration to be deleted,
and creation of a single valid link to be created. This
prevents the subsequent NullPointerException that might be
seen after attempting to correct an invalid configuration.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 6.0.2.35, 6.1.0.25 and 7.0.0.5.  Please refer to the
