Error description

When stopping the DMZ Secure Proxy Server, a
java.lang.SecurityException is seen in SystemErr.log:
Exception in thread "Thread-7" java.lang.SecurityException:
Could not lock User prefs.Lock file access denied.

A static initializer in the Java Preferences API causes the
API to be initialized when we start as root prior to binding
to the privileged ports (80/443) before the process
permissions are transferred to "nobody." When stopping the
secure proxy server, the Preferences API then attempts to
write to directories that have root permissions, causing the
exception.

Problem conclusion

The fix adds a property to the secure proxy server that causes
it to write to a location with non-root privileges. Thus, when
stopping the secure proxy server, the Preferences API is able
to access the location it needs to write to in order to save
the preference information.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 7.0.0.3.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
