Error description

  • Custimization job to create EJBROLE for SCA has the incorrect
    value. The instructions give the correct instructions:

    RDEFINE EJBROLE S7BASEA.scaAllAuthorizedUsers  UACC(READ)

    whereas the custimization job creates:
    S7BASEA.zScaAllAuthorizedUsers  (note the zSca...).

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All z/OS users of the Feature Pack for SCA *
    *                  Version 1.0.0.0.                            *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The IWODBRAK job that is generated by *
    *                      the PMT for z/OS Version 7.0 contains   *
    * an incorrect EJBROLE profile name. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The SCA extension to the PMT, delivered in the SCA Feature Pack
    for z/OS, defines an incorrect value for the EJBROLE profile
    name. As a result, the IWODBRAK jobs that are generated when
    z/OS security is being used do not specify the correct profile
    name.

Problem conclusion

  • The template for the IWODBRAK job, which resides within the
    Feature Pack for SCA extension to the PMT for z/OS was updated
    to specify the correct EJBROLE profile name.

    APAR PK76694 is currently targeted for inclusion in Feature Pack
    for SCA Version 1.0.0.1.

    for Fix Pack availability.

Temporary fix

  • Rather than submitting the IWODBRAK job to define the EJBROLE
    profile, a user can manually enter the RACF statements that
    are contained in the associated generated customization
    instructions. Unlike the IWODBRAK job, the RACF statements
    within the instructions are correct.
