Problem summary

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The configuration file, resouces.xml,   *
    *                      grows in size because duplicate         *
    *                      "displayNames" elements are             *
    *                      continually added.                      *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

    Each time a resource document is saved, the display name is
    updated. For each update a new displayNames element is added,
    instead of updating the existing element.
    

Problem conclusion

  • CompatibilityDescriptionGroupImpl was changed to update the
    existing displayNames element.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 6.0.2.35, 6.1.0.25, and 7.0.0.5.  Please refer to the
