Error description

Customer found that custom property
com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.suppresshtmlrecursiveerroroutput=true
which was introduced in WebSphere Application Server V6 by APAR
PK58907, does not function correctly on WebSphere Application
Server V7.

*                      the standard error page cannot          *
*                      handle, stack trace information is      *
*                      included in the response. The           *
*                      application developer may not want to   *
*                      reveal such information to the user.    *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

During a recursive error that an application specified error
page cannot handle, the stack trace and error message are
included in the response. This information could include
program information that the application developer does not
want the user to be able to see.

Problem conclusion

The WebContainer has been fixed to correctly check and process
the value of the custom property
com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.suppressHtmlRecursiveErrorOutput. As a
result, if the property is set the stack information will not
be included in the response.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 7.0.0.5.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
