Error description

When a connection factory is created for the WebSphere MQ
messaging provider in WebSphere Application Server, and the
MQ_INSTALL_ROOT has been customized to point at a
WebSphere MQ V7.0 installation, it may be necessary to pass
some custom properties to the WebSphere MQ V7.0 JMS client.

An example of such a property is PVER (PROVIDERVERSION).

Howevever, these properties are not passed through to the
WebSphere MQ JMS client as they are incorrectly suppressed by
the WebSphere MQ messaging provider code.

Local fix

Use the JVM level override
com.ibm.msg.client.wmq.overrideProviderVersion as described
at http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21376626.

The "When to use PROVIDERVERSION" section of the WebSphere MQ
Version 7.0 information center states users should
consider setting PROVIDERVERSION in WebSphere Application
Server Version 6.1 when using a WebSphere MQ Version 7.0 JMS
client in bindings mode on z/OS.

This APAR prevents this setting from being passed through to
the WebSphere MQ Version 7.0 JMS client by WebSphere
Application Server Version 6.1, when MQ_INSTALL_ROOT has been
configured to point at an external WebSphere MQ Version 7.0
client or server installation.

In WebSphere Application Server Version 7.0 the
PROVIDERVERSION setting can be specified in the Advanced
section of the General Properties.

Other connection factory custom properties that were introduced
in WebSphere MQ Version 7.0 cannot be specified in either
WebSphere Application Server Version 6.1 or Version 7.0.

This problem only affects BINDINGS transport connections
between WebSphere Application Server for z/OS and
WebSphere MQ for z/OS.

Problem conclusion

The fix for this APAR allows the following WebSphere MQ
Version 7.0 JMS connection factory custom properties to be
passed through to WebSphere MQ by WebSphere Application Server:

Refer to the "Properties of WebSphere MQ classes for JMS
objects" section of the WebSphere MQ Version 7.0 information
center for details of these properties, and the values that
can be specified.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 6.1.0.27 and 7.0.0.5.  Please refer to the Recommended
