Error description

Installation Factory incorrectly calculates the temporary space
requirements in certain cases when a customized installation
package (CIP) is being installed on top of an existing
installation.

Since the temporary space requirements were calculated
incorrectly, an environment can pass the prerequisite check
but still fail installation due to not enough temporary space.

Local fix

You can workaround this issue by calculating the required temp
space yourself and then ensuring that there is that much free
temp space.

The temp space required is equal to the size of the largest
.pak file (within the CIP) once it is unzipped.

The temporary space required during a customized installation
package (CIP) slip install is much larger than during a base
install because we unzip each pak file into the temporary
directory and make modifications before backing up the old
level of Application Server. We did not account for the
additional space originally.

Problem conclusion

The fix in this APAR is to calculate the space required for
this action and block the you from installing if you do not
have enough space.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
Install Factory 7.0.0.3.  Please refer to the Recommended

Temporary fix

The user can calculate the size of the larger .pak file in the
CIP image, and unzip it.  The size of this .pak file unzipped
is about the amount of temp space required for the
installation to be successful.
