Error description

Customers in WebSphere Application Server 6.1.0.19 can
experience occasional hangs when deploying EAR files, that
might not complete. This occurs when using the AppManagement
API to call redeployApplication code.  The install
notification in the redeploy code path is sent out before the
save is attempted. The workspaceID passed into the redeploy
call is NULL and therefore we should be saving the workspace
before the install notification is sent out.

All Application Management APIs require a workspace for its
processing. If workspaceID is passed as null, the API will
create its own workspace and save or discard it at the end,
based on the status of the operation.

During a full update, on successful completion, the
Installation completed (ADMA5013I) notification was sent
before saving the workspace with the master configuration
repository.

Problem conclusion

On successful completion of a full update operation the fix
will sent the Installation completed notification after
saving the workspace, if null is passed as workspaceID.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.1.0.25 and 7.0.0.5.  Please refer to the
