PK79894: IF J_SECURITY_CHECK IS MAPPED TO FILTER, THEN REQ.GETSERVLETPATH RETURNS NULL

Error description

Customer  passes the authentication request to the container
with action  -  j_security_check.   Normally, first time the
user logs in, the cookies will be set.  However in this case the
cookies are not being set at all because  reg.getServletPath is
returning null.

As it returns null, the next time, getcookies method returns
null and then the user is not redirected to the logout page.

Seems even though the session is timing out, the filter is
not working properly and the user is allowed to proceed ahead
creating a new session.
The issue seems that reg.getservletpath() when expected to
return /j_security_check, actually returns null

This works in WebSphere Application Server V5.1 but fails in
version 6.1.

WebContainer did not set the servletPath and pathInfo prior to
calling a filter for a  j_security_check or
ibm_security_logout request. As a result, if the filter calls
request.getServletPath or request.getPathInfo both will return
null.

Problem conclusion

WebContainer code has been modified so that these methods
return valid values for j_security_check and
ibm_security_logout requests.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 6.1.0.25 and 7.0.0.5.  Please refer to the Recommended
