Error description

When the Read-Only Subject Cache and Security Attribute
Propagation are enabled, performance and scalability decrease.
No error is reported, this was discovered during internal
performance testing.

Accessing the configuration options which control the
Read-Only Subject Cache and Security Attribute Propagation
when enabled were costly, thus performance
and scalability decrease.

Problem conclusion

Internal code changes were made to cache and reduce the cost
of determining behavior for the Read-Only Subject Cache and
Security Attribute Propagation functions, thus improving the
performance.

APAR PK79901 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.3 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0
for z/OS.
