In IBM WebSphere Application Server Versions 6.1 and 7.0,
request headers starting with $WS and _WS are visible to an
application that received requests via the IBM HTTP Server
Web Server and the IBM WebSphere Plugin. However some
applications do not handle request headers beginning with
special characters  such as "$" or "_".

Problem conclusion

The WebContainer code was modified to suppress the headers
based on the setting of the following custom property:
name: com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.suppressheadersinrequest
value: delimited list of header prefixes to be suppressed. For
example, value:$WS,_WS
default: not set

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 6.1.0.25 and 7.0.0.5.  Please refer to the Recommended
