Error description

WebSphere Application Server version 5.1 applications fail to
start in a version 6.0 or higher mixed cell environments. The
problem is manifested by an inability to load the
ibm-ejb-jar-bnd.xmi or the ibm-web-bnd.xmi files.  The
following exceptions may be indicative of this problem:

com.ibm.etools.archive.exception.ResourceLoadException:
IWAE0007E Could not load
resource "META-INF/ibm-ejb-jar-bnd.xmi" in archive
"IOPCMPEJB.jar"

org.eclipse.emf.ecore.xmi.FeatureNotFoundException: Feature
'properties' not found.
(META-INF/ibm-ejb-jar-bnd.xmi, 9, 100)

org.eclipse.emf.ecore.xmi.FeatureNotFoundException: Feature
'properties' not found.
(WEB-INF/ibm-web-bnd.xmi, 9, 100)

WebSphere Application Server 5.1 applications fail to start in
version 6.0 or higher mixed cell environments because the
version 6.0 specific 'properties' element is unknown to earlier
versions and must be removed.

Problem conclusion

This issue was fixed by adding a transformation that removes
the 'properties' element from the WebSphere Application Server
versions prior to 6.0.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.0.2.35, 6.1.0.25 and 7.0.0.3.  Please refer to the
