PK80794: ENVIRONMENT SETTING DECIMAL=COMMA ON Z/OS DB2 CAUSES QUERY FAILURE

Error description

Environment:
WebSphere Application Server V6.1
CEI Database on z/OS DB2
Environment Setting: decimal=comma

Description:
When decimal=comma is set in the DB2 environment, some queries
will fail with a CEIES0019E error code. This indicates that the
query failed. The query itself fails due to a , followed
immediately by a numeral. This causes DB2 to interpret the 0 as
part of the previous argument.

The solution is to add a space after the commas, when followed
by a numeral, in the query.

When the Common Event Infrastructure server issues queries
against the database the following error is raised:
Message: CEIES0063E The event access method
queryEventsByEventGroup failed.
Event group: All events  Event selector: null   Ascending
Order: true Maximum Number: 500

Exception message: CEIDS0036E The relational database
management system reported the following error.

Problem conclusion

The code that actually processes the SQL queries that will be
issued against the database has been reworked in order to add
a space between the column separator and the next column name.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.1.0.27 and 7.0.0.5.  Please refer to the
