*                      java.lang.NullPointer exception in      *
*                      EJBBindingsHelper, PMI may not report   *
*                      all hung threads, and a server may      *
*                      fail to stop when it is restarted.      *

The Server Runtime Framework code should not load any of the
descriptors, bindings, or extensions for the purpose of
closing the modules. The monitoring service enabled event is
not getting propagated to the thread pool Performance
Monitoring Infrastructure (PMI) modules created before PMI was
enabled, and System.exit was being used for emergencyShutdown
which depends on shutdown hooks completing normally.

Problem conclusion

The Server Runtime Framework code was updated to not load the
descriptor, binding, or extension when closing a module. The
thread monitoring service was updated to propagate the enabled
event. The server shutdown was updated to ignore shutdown
hooks during an emergency shutdown.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.5.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
