Error description

Http Plugin may provide HTTP server a status code from a client
request different then the status that is transmitted to the
client. This may occur when the plugin is not able to transmit
the entire response to the client

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When Plug-in receives a partial         *
*                      response from Application Server, it    *
*                      changes the response code from HTTP     *
*                      200 OK to HTTP 500. This is logged in   *
*                      the Web Server's access log but the     *
*                      web client still receives HTTP 200 OK.  *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

If after the response headers (including HTTP Status Line =
200 OK) have been successfully sent to the Web Server and on
to the web client, Plug-in's responseRead function exits due
to an error, Plug-in forces the Web Server to reset the HTTP
status Line to from 200 OK to HTTP 500. This leads to a
discrepancy between status logged by the web client and the
Web Server.

The expected behaviour for Plug-in is to preserve the original
status code.

Problem conclusion

The plug-in has been corrected to preserve the status code.


The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.0.2.35, 6.1.0.29, 7.0.0.5.  Please refer to the
