* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The Dynacache DistributedMap            *
*                      interface does NOT permit passing       *
*                      null cache values in the put methods.   *

In WebSphere Application Server version 6.1 and before,
Dynacache DistributedMap put methods allowed
passing in null values as cache values. However in version
7.0.0.0 this changed and Dynacache made error checking
more rigorous. DistributedMap implementation started checking
for null values in the put API calls. This may break certain
customer applications that were putting null cache values in
the Dynacache DistributedMap.

Customer application will see an "Unexpected exception:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException:
key:XXXXXvalue:null" due to this incompatibility, if a
cache value of null is put in the DistributedMap with the cache
key XXXXX.

Problem conclusion

The Dynacache version 7.0.0.0 DistributedMap implementation
has restored backward compatibility with version 6.1 with
respect to checking for nulls in the put methods.
DistributedMap allows passing of null values in the
DistributedMap put API calls.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 7.0.0.3.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
