Error description
Tuscany was accepting only contribution archives with file extension, ".jar". Contribution archives with extension ".ZIP" were not accepted. In Rational Application Developer Service Component Architecture (SCA) Tools, SCA contributions can be exported out of the workspace as SCA archives. Both ".jar" and ".ZIP" extensions are supported by Rational Application Developer. If you select to export as a ".ZIP" file, the archive file cannot be deployed to WebSphere Application Server.

Problem conclusion
The fix modifies the code so that it recognizes files ending in the .zip extension as a valid application archive format. APAR PK82609 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service Level (Fix Pack) 1.0.0.3 of WebSphere Application Server v7 Feature Pack for Service Component Architecture (SCA).
