Error description

Invalid Xid/recoveryId prevents server restart.
The following error messaes were seen:

RegisteredRes E   WTRN0045W: The transaction service cannot
recover resource 0000000000000000000000020001. The exception
stack trace follows: java.lang.Exception: Invalid
Xid/recoveryId in transaction log

and

RegisteredRes F   WTRN0000E: An internal error occurred in
method reconstruct in class
com.ibm.ws.tx.jta.RegisteredResources; the exception stack
trace follows: java.lang.Exception: Invalid Xid/recoveryId in
transaction log

before the server reported the following message:

WsServerImpl  E   WSVR0009E: Error occurred during startup
com.ibm.ws.exception.RuntimeError:
javax.transaction.SystemException:
javax.transaction.SystemException: java.lang.Exception:
Invalid Xid/recoveryId in transaction log

Invalid Xid/recoveryId prevented server restart.
The following error message was seen, which prevented the
server from restarting:

RegisteredRes E   WTRN0045W: The transaction service cannot
recover resource 0000000000000000000000020001. The exception
stack trace follows: java.lang.Exception: Invalid
Xid/recoveryId in transaction log

The root cause was that during the previous server shutdown
the information recorded for recovery had been deleted from
the Transaction Service recovery logs too soon.

Problem conclusion

Class TranManagerSet has been changed to ensure that the
recovery information will be retained in the Transaction
Service recovery logs.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.5.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
