* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Invalid state errors are reported       *
*                      when using Web Service Business         *
*                      Activity (WS-BA) with Web Services      *
*                      Atomic Transactions (WS-AT).            *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
WS-BA using WS-AT is causing either read-only or rollback
votes from remote resources to fail with invalid state errors.
Any intermediate server is switched to prepared state as soon
as it completes the prepare exit, but the WS-AT response code
rejects the downstream vote response in this state.

Problem conclusion

Change transaction service to ensure that downstream vote
responses are processed and not treated as invalid state.

APAR PK82724 is currently targeted for inclusion in
Service Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.5 of WebSphere
Application Server.
