Error description

Creating a new Personal certificate by administrative console
fails if specifying a common name which includes a comma.
Following is a link to create a new personal certificate in
administrative console;

SSL certificate and key management > Manage endpoint security
configurations > xxxxCellManager01 > Key stores and certificates
>CellDefaultKeyStore > Personal certificate requests > New

For example, if you specify "b,b" as a common name, creating a
personal certificate will fail with the following error
displayed in console;

"3008-605 Invalid subject name. Should end with"

Local fix

This problem can be prevented by using either quotes or
backslash as follows;

cn="CN=\"b,b\"";
(both the extra backward slash are escape character for the
double quote in Java)

cn="CN=b\\,b";
(first extra backward slash is escape character for the second
backward slash  in Java)

WebSphere Application Server was not properly handling a comma
as a valid non-escape comma character in the DN.

Problem conclusion

WebSphere Application Server has been modified to correctly
handle a valid non-escape comma character in the DN.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 6.1.0.27 and 7.0.0.7.  Please refer to the Recommended
