Error description

The Profile Management Tool in the WebSphere Customization Tool
does not provide the option to specify a logstream name or a
ctrace name.

The z/OS Profile Management Tool (zPMT) in the WebSphere
Customization Tools does not provide the option to specify the
error logstream data set name or the CTRACE parmlib member
suffix. Currently the only method of configuring these values
is using the administrative console or scripting after profile
creation.

Problem conclusion

An option has been added to the zPMT to enable the
error logstream dataset and CTRACE parmlib member suffix
fields in the zPMT panels.

This function can be enabled by navigating to
Windows->Preferences->Profile Management Tool via the toolbar
at the top of the zPMT.  Select the checkbox for "Error
logstream and CTRACE parmlib member".  The Error logstream
dataset name and CTRACE parmlib member will now be configurable
during the use of the zPMT to create your customization jobs.

The target z/OS system must also be at Service Level 7005 of
WebSphere for z/OS to enable this support.

APAR PK83437 is currently targeted for inclusion in
Service Level (Fix Pack) 7005 of the WebSphere Customization
Tools.  Refer to URL:

available.
