Error description

UsernameTokens are cached on web container threads by web
services security during client token generation.

The web container threads show memory allocated to the
UsernameToken object even under idle conditions:

When UsernameTokens are generated for a client, the token is
cached on ThreadLocal.  When a client is invoked by a servlet
on an application server, ThreadLocal is a web container thread.

The web container threads show memory allocated to the
UsernameToken object even under idle conditions:

The cached tokens may lead to excessive consumption of memory,
resulting in performance problems or OutOfMemory situations.

Problem conclusion

A WS-Security custom property is added to control the caching
of UsernameTokens:

com.ibm.wsspi.wssecurity.config.gen.checkCacheUsernameTokens

Valid values for this custom property are true and false.  The
default value is false.  This WS-Security custom property
should be set as a generator or additional property.

When
com.ibm.wsspi.wssecurity.config.gen.checkCacheUsernameTokens
is set to false, UsernameTokens will always be cached on
client threads.  When the property is set to true, the
WS-Security runtime will determine if UsernameTokens should be
cached or not based on the following rules:

1) Never cache if running on an application server
2) Only cache if the UsernameToken's generator has the
following callback handler configured:
com.ibm.wsspi.wssecurity.auth.callback.GUIPromptCallbackHandler
