A client application may request the WSDL file for a deployed
web service application so that it can communicate with the
service.

If problems occurred during the deployment of the web service
application, the client program may receive a
NullPointerException error when requesting the WSDL file.

The error is written into the SystemErr log, and the client
application might continue without additional problems.

Problem conclusion

The code to detect an improperly deployed application did not
contain a check for a null variable.  This check was added,
and now the JAX-RPC runtime code will issue an appropriate
message instead of issuing the NullPointerException message.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.1.0.27 and 7.0.0.7.  Please refer to the
