This APAR addresses two problems:

1) The exchange of information between a job manager and a
flexible management agent in an adminagent or deployment
manager is inefficient.

2) In certain circumstances, attempting to unregister a device
from the jobmgr can result in an error like the following,
particularly when profile names contain non-English characters:

Exception Received in AdminJobManager.unRegisterDevicePrivate():
java.util.regex.PatternSyntaxException: Unclosed character
class near index 14

Problem conclusion

1) Code changes were made to improve the efficiency of the
exchange of information between a job manager and a flexible
management agent in an adminagent or dmgr.  This allows the job
manager to handle a greater number of nodes at a given polling
interval, or to handle the same number of nodes as before with
a shorter polling interval.

2) The unregister code was changed to correctly handle any
allowable characters in a profile name. The call that results
in the "Unclosed character class" error is no longer used.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.5.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
