Error description

• Class files under the root of a WAR file are not restored accord
  ingly when imported.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• If an Applet class file is included in a WAR without a
  matching source file,
  two things can happen:
  
  If the name is less than 16 characters long (excluding the
  .class extension), a
  StringIndexOutOfBoundsException will occur that will stop
  the WAR import.
  
  If the name is sufficiently long, the class file will be
  moved from its proper
  location to the ImportedClasses directory, and when a Java
  build occurs, it
  will end up in WEB-INF/classes.  (Please note that the
  contents of the WEB-INF
  is not allowed to be directly served to clients, whereas
  Applets must be
  directly served to clients.)
  
  Both of these problems have been fixed.
