PK85389: CAN NOT UPDATE WMQ RESOURCE ADAPTER FROM ADMINISTRATIVE CONSOLE WHEN ACCESSING CONSOLE WITH A BROWSER OF NON ENGLISH

Error description

When we try to update WMQ resource adapter with non English
browser, we can not proceed to the next step because the "next"
botton does not work. Following is the step when we encounter
this problem;

1. From Japanese browser, go to
Resources > JMS > JMS providers >
WebSphere MQ messaging provider (scope=xxxNode)
2. Click "Update resource adapter..."
.
3. At "Step 1: Select a new RAR file", select
wmq.jmsra.rar file which is located at "Local file system"
or "Remote file system".
(You can select <WAS_ROOT>/lib/WMQ/ra/wmq.jmsra.rar file)

4. Click "next"
.
5. Back to "Step 1: Select a new RAR file" page again.
And cannot go to "Step 2: List all resource adapter
configurations"

Local fix

Expand the WMQ resource adapter file manually under the <
profile_root>/installedConnectors directory.

Problem summary

*                      in the administrative console fails     *
*                      when the browser is in a DBCS language. *

The encoding required for the file upload step in the RAR
update wizard caused the button information to be encoded
incorrectly.

Problem conclusion

To prevent this problem, NLSDiskMultipartRequestHandler was
changed to default to UTF-8 encoding whenever it wasn't set in
the HTTP request.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.5.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
page for delivery information:
