*                  session persistence and who experience      *
*                  failover may rarely see this condition.     *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If two or more threads have a near      *
*                      simultaneous access for the same        *
*                      session, and the session has to be      *
*                      fetched from the persistent store, a    *
*                      race condition may develop resulting    *
*                      in a deadlock.                          *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

This problem may occur if http session manager is configured
for session persistence, two or more threads simultaneously
accessing the same session, and this session is required to be
fetched from the persistent store. Under these 3 conditions it
has been found that occasionally a race condition between the
threads may produce a deadlock.

Problem conclusion

Code changes were made so that the session manager will
include additional checking to ensure that multiple threads
accessing same session do not result in a race condition.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.0.2.37, 6.1.0.27, and 7.0.0.7.
