*                  application and limit the number of         *
*                  sessions, will experience this scenario if  *
*                  an overflow session is created.             *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When session management is configured   *
*                      for in-memory sessions and does not     *
*                      allow the number of sessions to         *
*                      exceed the memory cache and a web       *
*                      application uses                        *
*                      HttpSessionListeners, then when the     *
*                      maximum number of sessions has been     *
*                      reached and another session is          *
*                      requested, the overflow session         *
*                      creation triggers the sessionCreated    *
*                      event of HttpSessionListeners.          *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

This problem occurs when session management is configured for
in-memory sessions (no persistence) and does not allow the
number of sessions to exceed the memory cache.  Under these
conditions if the maximum cache size is reached an overflow
session is created. Since an overflowed session is not a valid
session the sessionCreated event of HttpSessionListener should
not be fired.

Problem conclusion

Since an overflowed session is not a valid session the
sessionCreated event of HttpSessionListener will not be fired.

Code changes have been made and will be integrated and will be
available in Fix Pack 7.0.0.7.  This APAR is not applicable to
V6.1 and V6.0.
