*                      members concurrently that are           *
*                      pointing to the same DB2 data source    *
*                      for session persistence, a database     *
*                      deadlock may occasionally occur.        *

This problem may be seen occasionally when a cluster on a
distributed system contains at least two members, http session
management is configured to use database persistence and the
backend database is DB2. Under these conditions when multiple
cluster members are starting simultaneously a deadlock may
occur at the backend sessions database.  This deadlock does
not affect the database persistence operations of session
management in the cluster members.

Problem conclusion

A better mechanism is implemented for avoiding database
deadlocks. This APAR does not apply to versions prior to V7.
