Error description

The IBM HTTP SERVER (IHS) V7.0 image supplied with the
64-bit WebSphere Application Server v7.0 installation package is
a 32-bit image.  Only IHS V7.0 installs from a 64-bit
Supplemental CD are affected with the exception of Linux/S390x,
Solaris/AMD64, Solaris/SPARC64, and HPUX/IA64 operating systems.

The V7.0 IHS installation is installed with a 32-bit SDK in
its <IHS_ROOT>/java directory. However, the surrounding product
architecture is 64-bit. When the WebSphere Application Server
V7.0 64-bit SDK Fix Pack is applied to the installation, the Fix
Pack metadata reads the architecture of the surrounding product
instead of the architecture of the JRE-subproduct. This allows
for the 64-bit SDK Fix Pack to be applied in error to the 32-bit
SDK installed with V7.0 IHS.

Local fix

The work around to resolve the issue is either to not apply the
V7.0 64-bit SDK Fix Pack update to the V7.0 IHS instance
installed from the 64-bit Supplements package, or to download
and install IHS from the V7.0 32-bit Supplements image and then
apply the V7.0 32-bit SDK Fix Pack update to the IHS 32-bit
instllation only.

When the Update Installer is launched to install SDK fixpacks
on 64bit images for IHS(They are actually 32 bit images, but
made for 64bit platforms), the SDK 64bit fixpack is selected
and the 32 bit SDK fixpack is not selectable.

Problem conclusion

The SDK fixpack for version 7.0.0.7 and later have been fixed
so that 32 bit SDK fixpacks are selected for IHS.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.7.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
