Error description

The MAXBUFSIZE value of 4096 for the template LOGSTREAM
definition JCL in BBOERRLC/BBOERRLD of dataset SBBOJCL was not
large enough for some of the customer log records. It should be
removed to take the default MAXBUFSIZE of 65532.

The BBOERRLC and BBOERRLD sample JCL members used for defining
coupling facility logstreams and DASD-only logstreams,
respectively, contain a MAXBUFSIZE value of 4096.

Since MAXBUFSIZE is an optional parm and in some cases the
value of 4096 may not be large enough for particular
configurations, a default value should not be provided in the
sample JCL.

Problem conclusion

The BBOERRLC and BBOERRLD sample JCL members have been updated
to no longer specify any MAXBUFSIZE value.  Either the system
default will be used, or a user can add a specific MAXBUFSIZE
value during the editing of the sample JCL.

APAR PK88241 is currently targeted for inclusion in
Service Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.29 of WebSphere
Application Server V6.1
