PK88661: INCORRECT CSIV2 SERVICE CONTEXT IS SENT

Error description

This was seen with a V6.0.2 server receiving an incorrect CSIv2
service context from the V6.1 server.  The message type of the
received context is of a "Message in Context" instead of the
expected "Error Context" type.  The following trace entries were
seen:

This response is being received from the remote 6.1 server as
described here:

The V6.1 server is sending a response to the V6.0.2 server with
an error that does not contain the correct message type.  The
V6.0.2 server then does not retry the request as it is expected
for the 0x49424308 error code.

For WebSphere Application Server for z/OS with stateful CSIv2
sessions enabled and a cluster with at least 2 cluster
members, the cluster member does not return a CSIv2 error
context back to the client when a CSIv2 session is not found
in the member. The CSIv2 session is established in a specific
member and the other member(s) do not have a reference to such
CSIv2 session. The error code 0x49424308 is instead passed
back to the client code causing the failure of the client
communicating with the cluster.

The CSIv2 session is established in a specific cluster member.
A request to reuse the security context (MessageInContext)
specifies a session id that does not exist in the cluster
member servicing the request. This causes the error 0x49424308
to be sent back to the client, but an error context is not
created and the client does not redrive the request.

Problem conclusion

This fix addresses the creation of an error context with a
redrive code that the client uses to retry the request.

APAR PK88661 is currently targeted for inclusion in
Service Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.29 of WebSphere
Application Server V6.1
