Error description

Dynacache gets are excessively synchronized causing thread lock
outs during high load

In order to protect the cache instance dynacache uses
synchronized blocks to allow synchronous access to get
operations.  This synchronization is excessive and severely
slows down dynacache users during a stress situation.

Problem conclusion

Excessive synchronization has been eliminated to allow get
operations to perform at a more acceptable level.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.0.2.39, 6.1.0.29, and 7.0.0.7.  Please refer to the
