PK89434: RECENTLY INSTALLED APPLICATIONS NOT APPEARING IN ISC ENTERPRISE APPLICATIONS LIST

Error description

Recently installed enterprise applications occasionally do not
appear in the user's session in the ISC Enterprise
Applications list. We are seeing this behavior while
installing new applications using a custom ISC console module.
The console module automates enterprise application
installation, and attaches a NotificationListener to monitor the
progress of the installation before saving the configuration and
returning to the module. When navigating to the "WebSphere
enterprise applications" list immediately after the
installation has completed (as indicated by the Notification
event) and the configuration has been saved, the application
occasionally does not appear in the list. A message is
displayed "Your workspace has been auto-refreshed from the
master configuration. You can disable auto-refresh in your user
preferences" at the top of the "Enterprise Applications" module,
but the new application does not appear. If the application
did not appear initially, it will never appear throughout the
remainder of the user's console session, even though the
application was successfully installed - the new application
does appear in other concurrent user ISC sessions, by the
wsadmin AdminApp.list() function, or by the
AppManagement.listApplications() method, but not during the
ISC session of the user who performed the installation. If the
user logs out of the console and then logs back in, the
application will appear. This issue happens inconsistently; it
seems that the faster the user navigates to the "WebSphere
enterprise applications" module (and /perhaps/ the larger the
enterprise application file or the more configuration that is
being saved?), the more consistently it occurs.

Incorrect usage of findContext().  The string passed in for
findContext was "/deployments/" + appCtxName.  This was
returning the context for applications, not for deployments.

Problem conclusion

The correct usage for find context is "deployments/" +
appCtxName.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 7.0.0.9 and 6.1.0.29.  Please refer to the
