Error description

The purpose of this change is to allow the JAX-WS web services
engine to participate in the annotation scanning filtering
function that was introduced in the 7.0.0.5 fix pack.   This
will allow you to specify archives and packages that should
not be scanned for JAX-WS annotations, thereby improving the
deployment and/or installation times for those applications.

The JAX-WS Web Services engine scans the entire JAX-WS
application for the annotations.  The scanning process can
take a significant amount of time.

This APAR fix allows you to use annotation scanning filtering
to reduce the number of jars that can be scanned.

Problem conclusion

The changes in this APAR will allow the JAX-WS web services
engine to participate in the annotation scanning filtering
function that was introduced in the 7.0.0.5 fix pack. You can
specify the names of archives and java packages whose classes
will not be scanned for JAX-WS annotations.

The names of archives and java packages can be specified as
properties in a number of different ways.  Please consult the
following Information Center documentation for details on how
to specify these properties:
