Error description

Some users want to send a SOAPAction header in the web
services request. If they try to create this header as a Mime
header using the SAAJ API, and the client application is
running on WebSphere Application Server V7 or WebSphere
Application Server Feature Pack for Web Services, the request
that actually goes across does not contain the user-specified
SOAPAction header.

Some users want to send a SOAPAction header in the web
services request. If they try to create this header as a Mime
header using the SAAJ API, and the client application is
running on WebSphere Application Server Feature Pack for Web
Services, the request that goes across the wire does not
contain the user-specified SOAPAction header.

Note that this problem would not occur if the same client
application runs in WebSphere Application Server V6.

Problem conclusion

The JAX-WS runtime was changed to detect SOAPAction headers
created as SAAJ Mime headers.

This problem is corrected in the V6 Feature Pack for Web
Services with PK86960.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.9.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
