Error description

This error is observed in both Derby 10.1 and derby 10.3
database drives

(DERBY-4239) Beetle 10810: Possible corruption if
SYSCS_UTIL.SYSCS_INPLACE_COMPRESS_TABLE is called during
checkpoint


This APAR will upgrade the derby driver for Application Server
V7.0 to IBM Derby  10.3.3.1.787887 and for Application Server
V6.1 to Derby 10.1.3.3.787890

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Derby Database corruption with          *
*                      compress during checkpoint.             *

Derby Database gets corrupted  if a compress table occurs
during a checkpoint and then the jvm exits before the next
checkpoint or proper shutdown.

Problem conclusion

Derby has modified their code in latest release.
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion
in fix packs 7.0.0.7 and 6.1.0.29.
