PK93901: VIRTUAL HOST UNDER HOST_ALIASES HOSTNAME FIELD IN ADMINISTRATIVE CONSOLE DOES NOT ACCEPT A DASH: DR1.DEV-WEB

Error description

Entering a hostname (for example, dr1.dev-web) value as host
name when defining a virtual host under host_aliases  gives
you an error message in the Administrative GUI saying the error
"The field, Host Name, does not contian a valid value"

Steps of recreation

Virtual hosts --> click on default_host --> click on
host_aliases -->click new Provide hostname dr1.dev-web and some
port number and click apply


Error is
The field, Host Name, does not contain a valid value.

HostName  dr1.dev-web  fails
But works with  dr1.dev-web.com

(the hostnames used above are examples:  dr1.dev-web )

In the Administrative Console -> Environment -> Virtual
hosts -> default_host -> host_aliases
the name field does not allow -,
for example: DR1.DEV-WEB

The field, Host Name, does not contain a valid value.

Problem conclusion

Validation for this field has been modified to allow - for
Hostname.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.1.0.29 and 7.0.0.9.  Please refer to the
