Error description

Properties file placed in the root of the .ear file is not being
read when file is deployed on a non-Microsoft Windows
environment

Works fine in Microsoft Windows and fails with the
NullPointerException similar to the following.

java.util.Properties.load(Properties.java:272)

*                      is being resolved incorrectly on Unix   *
*                      operating systems.                      *

Using "/" as the Class-Path in META-INF/MANIFEST.MF gets
resolved as an absolute path instead of a relative
path.

Problem conclusion

Code changes have been made to treat class-path as a relative
URI. System property "com.ibm.eclipse.wtp.allowRootedEntries"
can be used to revert to original behavior.


The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.9.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
