*                      mode with programs using XSLT.          *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

A ClassCastException might occur if the server is
running in debug mode and you attempt to run code
that uses XSL transformation APIs.  This might occur if
XSLT debug is disabled. After invoking
javax.xml.transform.TransformerFactory.newInstance(), you might
get an error of the form: java.lang.ClassCastException:
org.apache.xalan.processor.TransformerFactoryImpl
incompatible with
javax.xml.transform.TransformerFactory.

This error is because of an incorrect configuration of the
XSLT related system properties when the Websphere Application
server is running in debug mode with XSLT debug disabled.

Problem conclusion

The problem has been fixed, and the fix for this APAR is
currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 7.0.0.9 and
6.1.0.31.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
