Error description

User accoutn lockout for one time incorrect login.
Issue occurs when in the admin console and click on secure
adminisration, applications, and infrastructure then click
configure, then under the Bind Password, typed in a wrong
password we then receive the message and  the account gets
locked.

Problem occurs in a scenerio while configuring security
using userRegisty and providing an incorrect bind password.

*                      LDAP account to be locked out on just   *
*                      one attempt.                            *

WebSphere Application Server retried bind operation three times
if it failed due to authentication exception.  If LDAP is
configured to lock out account at a certain failed attempt,
the bind user account is locked out.

Problem conclusion

Code is updated so that WebSphere throws authentication
exception as soon as the exception is caught without
performing further retries.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 6.1.0.29 and 7.0.0.9.  Please refer to the
