Error description

A customer used a monitoring tool to identify
java.lang.ClassLoader.load(cls) calls in the WebSphere
Application Server JAX-RPC engine.  Analysis by IBM revealed
that many of these calls are unnecessary.

Removal of the unnecessary calls may increase the performance
of the JAX-RPC engine for customers who use memory monitoring
tools.

Some customers install third party memory management or class
loading monitors.  These customer environments are sometimes
more sensitive to ClassLoader.loadClass(cls) invocations.

An analysis by IBM revealed several places in the JAX-RPC
engine where the ClassLoader.loadClass(cls) invocations are
unnecessary.

Removal of these unnecessary paths may increase total
throughput of the JAX-RPC engine.

Problem conclusion

The unnecessary ClassLoader.loadClass(cls) calls occur in the
following three areas of the JAX-RPC engine:
1) During JAX-RPC serialization of
javax.xml.soap.SOAPElement objects.
2) During the JAX-RPC deserialization of
javax.xml.soap.SOAPElement objects.
3) During debug tracing of deployment (WSDD) objects.

In all three cases, the extra ClassLoader.loadClass(cls)
calls are unnecessary, and the calls were removed.
Removal of these code paths does not change the logic of the
WebSphere Application Server JAX-RPC engine.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.1.0.29 and 7.0.0.9.  Please refer to the
