Error description

Using the queryWasInstalls script in a Websphere Application
Server v7 or v6.1 on some versions of IBM i results in the
following exception:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
com.ibm.as400.access.IFSFileOutputStream

The java class that gets called contains a method that uses a
Toolbox api to the IFSFileOutputStream.class. The method that
uses this Toolbox class is not used by the queryWASinstalls
function.  Traditionally, the Classic JVM is used to run this
class.  The Classic JVM postpones loading all classes it needs
until runtime, and if it does not use a class it is not loaded.
Thus no attempt is used to load the unused Toolbox class.  The
J9 JVM loads all classed referenced by the class at JVM
startup. This causes the unused Toolbox classes to be loaded,
and since the Toolbox jar file is not in the classpath the
java exception is thrown.

Problem conclusion

The queryWASinstalls scripts have been updated to include the
os400Native.jar in the classpath passed on the java
invocation. In addition the -Djava.version=1.5 is only passed
when the Classic JVM is used. If it is passed on a J9
invocation, java issues the following warning message:

The java.version property was detected as input. This property
is used as output only and has no effect on JVM initialization.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.0.1.2.9 and 7.0.0.9.  Please refer to the
