Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the WMQ messaging provider for * * IBM WebSphere Application Server for z/OS * * Version 7.0 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If Java 2 Security is enabled, an * * AccessControlException might thrown * * when creating a JMS connection to * * WebSphere MQ on z/OS * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The code that checks the authority of a user to connect to a WebSphere MQ from an application server on z/OS interacts incorrectly with Java 2 Security, resulting in a java.security.AccessControlException being thrown. This issue is known to occur when creating a connection to a queue manager from within a message-driven bean. It might also occur when creating JMS connections from application code in other containers.
Problem conclusion
The fix for this APAR corrects the interaction with Java 2 Security to prevent the java.security.AccessControlException exception from being thrown. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.7 Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980
