Error description

  • Listing all BPC-MBeans per wsadmin-call, two
    deleteCompletedProcessInstances(...) are listed, both with a
    flag <deprecated>. It is correct for <deprecated> to be shown
    for the one with the signature of all java.lang.String. It is
    wrong to show <deprecated> for the one with the signature of
    first Array of [Ljava.lang.String.

    Help.operations(AdminControl.queryNames('type=ProcessContainer,*
    '))

    print the mbean operations with wrong <deprecated> string

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Wrong MBean operations are flagged as *
    *                      deprecated                              *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Listing all BPC-MBeans per wsadmin-call, two
    deleteCompletedProcessInstances(...) are listed, both are
    listed with a flag <deprecated>. It is correct to show
    <deprecated> for the one with the signature of all
    java.lang.String. The other one is not deprecated. The
    wsadmin Help.operations(mbean) command does not return
    deprecated MBean's operations correctly. If the operation has
    same name but has different signatures and one of them is
    deprecated, the Help.operations(mbean) will return all of them
    as deprecated.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem occurs because the Help.operations method in
    HelpSupport.java only takes the MBean operation name into
    consideration when checking the <deprecated> tag string in the
    MBean descriptor.
    The operations method is fixed to take the entire MBean
    operation including MBean name, signature and other MBean
    elements into consideration. With the fix,
    Help.operations(MBean) will return MBean operations with
    <deprecated> tags correctly.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 7.0.0.9. Please refer to the Recommended
