Error description

Running a v7 JAX-RPC web service performance test has
highlighted that an additional namespace declaration and
soap:header element are being added to the response message.

They are :

"xmlns:wscoor="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/10/wscoor"><s
oapenv:Header><wsat-ext:imported xmlns:wsat-ext="http://www.ibm
.com/ws-tx/wsat/2007/12"/></soapenv:Header>"

These appear to be extra for this particular test case and
although generally benign, they have resulted in a significant
percentage increase in the size of the response message, which
will ultimately affect performance.

An unnecessary SOAP header was being added to all SOAP
messages when using JAX-RPC Web Services under an active
transaction:
<wsat-ext:imported
xmlns:wsat-ext="http://www.ibm.com/ws-tx/wsat/2007/12"/>.
It should only be added to the first SOAP message that
distributes a transaction.

The only impact of the unnecessary headers is that the SOAP
message was larger than necessary, which for messages with a
small payload could result in a performance impact.

Problem conclusion

The Transaction Service has been changed to ensure that the
header is only added to the first SOAP message sent under an
active transaction.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.9.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
